CONCEPT

BarBrain is a company located in San Fransisco, CA that seeks to provide a simpler way of tracking the weight on your barbell while working out: the technology allows a user to perform their lifts and focus on their form and effort, not remembering the numbers. SmartBar is designed for the fitness community- people ages 25-45 who are eager to streamline their busy schedule while maintaining a regimented fitness plan.

SOLUTION

Given that the app is intended to increase efficiency in one's workout workflow, the design worked through options to simplify the tracking process. The color palette is purposefully genderless, to target users of any identity, while the typography is warm and inviting to stand out against more agro fitness apps.

User personas

The user personas for BarBrain create different perspective 'bumpers' to keep the design of the app on course, keeping it relevant for its user base.
